Basic System Information
The local star system, under the rule of Imperial Governor Taal.
Order of planets from star:
- Foll
- Rhinnd
- Lysan
- Jale
- {asteroid belt}
- Piplast
- Beex
Brief description of each planet:
- Foll: Mostly tropical. Has harsh weather, but rich resources. Practically unsettled, settlers mostly work for mining company.
- Lysan: Gas giant. The Empire has begun investigation to see if it has useful gas mines.
- Jale: Seat of Imperial Government. Closest thing to culture in this system. Has a decent hfredium mine.
- Piplast: Aqueous planet, almost entirely. Believed to be unsettled.
- Beex: Ice and rock planet. Mostly tundra-like desert. Believed to be unsettled.
- Rhinnd: The planet where the campaign begins. Mostly temperate, but with no appealing resources. Can produce food, maybe in 20 years will be enough to be interesting (on a grander scale). Settled originally by isolationist groups, but traffic has increased in the last few years. It has no planetary government and a light Imperial presence. Each city has its own government that more-or-less enforces Imperial law.
Has twin moons, Chula and Neebo. Chula is said to be habitable, but no settlements there have lasted. Neebo is not habitable.
Only one city has a spaceport: Rhinndar. The starport is under local authority. The Imperial Army base outside the city, their main presence on Rhinnd, has its own spaceport facilities for something called the Army Flight project. It involves using Z-95 headhunters for first-line system defense.
Other major cities: Vell, Prinah, Jhol Station and Hist. These are really just large, permanent trading posts for the various settlements. Each has a small Imperial outpost.
